Inevitability Of Death
They once told me I will not live,
Beyond this flesh and bone.
I told them 'I will not give,'
'While I still call earth home.'
They snickered back 'You worthless man!'
'You should listen when we speak.'
'When we say to you that life is bound'
'To earth; no heaven to seek'
I stared it down, I stared at life,
I shouted out my thoughts.
'Although I am unsure of why,'
'There is hope yet to be sought.'
I don't know if God is real,
I don't know heaven well.
Hell's from stories when I was little,
The Devil; My soul to sell.
Scientists argue 'THERE IS NO GOD!'
The religious beg to differ.
Athiests say 'You fool, you sod'
